AN EVENING AT CANON:
Tech Night at Canon USA with Ed Meyers
At this month’s meeting we one again get to reach into the big toy box
at Canon, and see what they’ve been up to since we were last there in
April of 2010. Our host will be Ed Meyers.
As we all know, getting your flash off the camera is a fundamental step
in improving the look of your flash pictures, and Canon believes that
its’ wireless E-TTL system is the tool of choice for achieving superb
quality images. Ed Meyers will give us a hands-on demonstration on how
to use this remarkable tool in both single and multi-flash situations.
Come to our March meeting and find out how to you your flash in new and
different ways.
Ed will also go over the Canon SLR lineup including the new Rebel T3 &
T3i, talk about the features that are unique to Canon cameras, and
answer your tech inquiries. Come and see the equipment that you
won’t normally see on your dealers’ shelf.
Directions:
Please take I-290 (when it becomes Route 53) to the Thorndale Exit (Exit
#5). Take Thorndale Avenue east to Park Avenue. Follow Park Avenue to
the Canon building entrance. The general area for the meeting is east
and south of Woodfield Shopping Center.

Attention Members:
If you can’t help hang
the show, you can drop your images off on April 2nd from 10 a.m.
to 2 p.m. or bring it on Sunday. All work should be labeled on the back with the artist's name, title of work, medium, and sale price if it is for sale. It would be helpful to the Gallery if each artist would attach to his/her work a sheet of paper containing that info (an artist's statement can accompany work if the artist feels it would be helpful for understanding the work) so that labels can be made for each work.
Since the gallery is open to all ages, please do not bring images that would be inappropriate for younger viewers. The Art Show should be rated: “G”.
If you have already replied, we thank you. Please note the change in date for the installation and let us know if you are available on that date.
The Art Show is open only to paid members as of April 1st, 2011.
